I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS AND I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO AND NOW I KNOW SO HERE'S THE SCOOP FOR THOSE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED
If you put "gif" infront of "youtube" in a video URL, you'll be taken to a webpage where you have the video playing. You pause where you want the gif to start, then select the number of seconds you want it to be from that point.
Now, when I tried this, the gif was a bit too long at the start and end of what I wanted it to be. Here's what I did if you want to get this far into it;
1.) Go here; ezgif.com/split
2.) Upload your gif
3.) Once it loads, click "split it!"
4.) The frames will all show up. Download the frames as a zip to a place you can easily find it.
5.) Go to where you saved it, extract all the files (frames) to a place you can easily find it again.
6.) WHAT I DID was go to gifmaker.me. This website only allows up to 30 frames. If there's more than that, I can't really help you. Maybe there's another website you can go to.
7.) Upload the frames
8.) To the right it has "animation speed". Try to match it up as well as you can to the original speed. This shouldn't be too hard; you can adjust it to any number you want.
9.) Click "create now" and save the gif!
If you want to see an example, check out my new webcam! *w* It comes from a video made by xSpickeyx.
EDIT!!
Emmabebe: "i knOW HOW TO GET PAST THE 30 FRAME LIMIT
GIF MAKER TAKES GIFS ALSO
SO
PUT IN THE FRAMES 30 AT A TIME AND SAVE THEM ALL AS SEPARATE GIFS
THEN UPLOAD THE GIFS IN ORDER ALL TOGETHER HHAAHAHAHHAHHA

No more animated thumbnails.
So, after discovering not only does every submission I have posted in the past being an animated gif has lost its custom thumbnail entirely, I found the new way to make an animated thumbnail is by making the main file incredibly small as well. The largest dimensions for an animated thumbnail is 150x150. Well. That sucks. So, I assumed it was a bug, because this hinders the website, particularly the animators, in a way that didn't seem constructive at all. So, naturally, I reached out to DA support. It was intentional. I was linked to this journal I'll paste to the bottom of mine, basically explaining now a thumbnail is "auto-generated", and we don't have to worry about making it ourselves anymore. Problem is, the 'auto-generation" is not only not animated, but only picks the first frame of your gif. So, if your gif's first frame is blank or otherwise unreadable, you're out of luck. So, now the options are twist your gif around so the first frame is the most presentable, or make the
A few words
I want to share my thoughts from Twitter. Obviously not a novel of words, but the important concepts.
I’m sharing this through as much media platforms as I can. I want my audience to know me.
Animation Commissions Statement/Update
Please read the notes I have saved in this tweet regarding my animation commissions!

(TLDR; I’m working on something I need much more time on, and after it’s done, I feel I can finally get solid rates and TOS managed to open more animated commissions. Commissions may open before the end of the year.)
Originally just meant for my Twitter audience, but I know a majority of my followers are actually here!
I understand I've been vague about when I'm next opening. As I said in the notes, I'm very inexperienced, and I'm still learning about how long animations actuall

Life is busy, busy, busy.
My girlfriend moved in with me, I’ve taken up full time retail, commissions have been pretty successful, I’ve been going to more cons/traveling more, it’s just been hectic! A good kind, though. Unfortunately that leaves much less time for feedback, but I still admire and love so much of you, I won’t stop trying - but please remain patient with my comments as I obviously have higher priorities, unfortunately.
There’s something else as well - I got my fursuit at MFF! I’m curious if anyone would like to see it in more pictures here, or possibly in future videos? I want to experiment
